Afternoon tea at Sketch London is the ultimate experience for the senses, where art meets imaginative treats and where the best champagnes flow. Sketch is a unique concept in Mayfair, comprised of five rooms each with it's own menu, mood and style. The attention to detail in each of the rooms is incredible, from the lush colors to the rich textures to the whimsical artwork on display - creating unique spaces that each take you to another world from the moment you walk in the door.
We had tea in the Gallery, which was created by British artist David Shrigley, starting with a glass of champagne. The dreamy powder-pink room is plush and velvety with gilded detail and quirky ceramic tableware.
Next tea is served and the food is presented, with rich Scottish smoked salmon and Jacob's tarragon cream sandwiches to start, black truffle croque-monsieurs, scones followed by Malabar marshmallows, Mandarin cinnamon cheesecake and chocolate caramel gateaux. Everything was delicious!
